As many of you know, I love to ask the following question to prompt you to think a little more about life:

"Assume we are now 12 months from today, what would have had to have happened over the last year for you to look back and say, 'wow, what an awesome year'?"

It really is a thought provoking and powerful question.

Truly think about this for a moment and write down the first 3 things that come to mind. Don't be a slacker and just write boring old stuff like buy a new car, save money, be healthy etc, think about what exceptional things you could be doing that will really make a difference in your life.

FYI, my three things were:

  • Go camping with friends on Fraser Island (booked for next week)
  • Get out of the office and to the gym 3 days per week (currently averaging one day per week)
  • Take up a new, exciting and adrenaline driven hobby (started mountain biking in June)
